We are a small, but mighty team. We Needed Cience's help in the top-of-the-funnel lead generation/appointment setting with stakeholders who fit our target persona.
  • They set a few quality meetings for us
  • STEER CLEAR- their company and model are a mess. We had a kickoff call in February with our "team" and by mid-May, none of them were still with the organization. We were never looped in on this turnover and as a result, there was a total diffusion of responsibility. Beware of the "10-20 day onboarding period" ours was more than 30 despite the fact we proactively provided them with a 15+ page playbook detailing everything they needed: 1) Target personas 2) Objections and counters 3) Product info 4) Company history 5) Talk tracks 6) Etc. Every ball that was dropped was on their end and there was a complete lack of ownership and accountability from their leadership team. The only person who took ANY ownership was our CAM, who was let go as part of a massive company-wide layoff. Their whole organization is a mess.
  • We made numerous coaching asks of their team after hearing in the call recordings that the SDR was deviating from the script completely and had no idea what they were talking about. Their message was, "We help HR leaders retain talent so that they can promote their talent and not lose existing talent"--- the most generic of pitches and not at all related to what we do. They continuously referred to it as a "system" when we are a professional coaching organization. We coached continuously on every biweekly call and gave them suggestions, none of which seemed to get back to the SDR as they continued to repeat the same mistakes and even went far as pushing a prospect to take a meeting when she was in a rush because "I get incentivized from meetings booked over the phone."
  • Despite our continuous asks, there was no collaboration. Our landing page mockup featured companies that weren't even customers of ours and would've been catastrophic to our brand had it been released. We never saw a mockup of this until the last minute and ended up having to do the entire thing ourselves despite them selling us on the fact that it was something they could handle.
If you are an organization that values collaboration, organization, attention to detail, coachability, and willingness to listen and take feedback, Cience is not the "partner" for you. You fork over your entire 3-month payment upfront with no guarantee of return. What ensues is them checking the boxes with no ownership and accountability along the way. Maybe if you're a drastically simple widget, Cience would work, but if you have a professional services product or something that clearly needs its value props well-articulated, steer clear. You will be burned and they will not work with you at all to take corrective measures, only kick the can further down the road without owning their mistakes.

CIENCE helps us find quality leads, develop engaging content, and manage sending waves of customized marketing emails and LinkedIn messages. This has generated 3-4 meetings per week with valuable prospects. CIENCE does a great job of reporting and follow up with bi-weekly calls and active slack engagement.

Outreach to existing and potential customers in a brand new territory in an effort to schedule in-person, introductory meetings. This included distilling large contact lists, creating a professional landing page, and automatically scheduling meetings in Outlook for different sales team members. The primary outcomes we were looking for were in-person meetings, brand awareness, and evangelism of our company's core capabilities.

CIENCE helped us to develop a systematic approach for lead generation via inbound and outbound marketing. They are constantly researching new potential customers for us, and doing all of the hard work involved each and every day to ensure the highest quality meetings are being scheduled. They are primarily being used by our sales and marketing teams, but the impact of their work is felt across the entire organization. Their team creates and optimizes our messaging and outreach by testing and adapting to the responsiveness and feedback of our prospects. This solves a critical issue for us because our C-level team is limited in bandwidth, and CIENCE's expert work allows us to focus on closing deals, be more innovative, and execute the company's vision.
  • The team at CIENCE is incredible. Our assigned Customer Success Manager (Yaroslav), SDR (Valeriya), and Lead Copywriter (Amanda) have produced some of the best work we've had by any of our vendors. They are all top-notch talent and are also some of the most hardworking, helpful, and genuine people I've had the pleasure to work with.
  • CIENCE is lightning fast in their communication. They are reliable, responsive, and always doing their best to exceed our expectations.
  • CIENCE is not only one of our most productive vendors, but they are also one of the most strategic partners of ours. They sincerely care about the results that they produce and are always thinking outside the box to make our program better each day.
  • The team is incredibly resourceful and collaborative. CIENCE will regularly bring in a variety of experts to our weekly calls to help us resolve issues that I would usually expect to be out-of-scope for them. They never cease to amaze me with how much knowledge is shared between their departments and how willing they are to jump in and support us.
  • There isn't much to say here for me from a feature or functionality perspective. We've always had a very seamless interaction with CIENCE from a technology standpoint. I have to admit that I am typically the bottleneck if things ever get stuck because our team at CIENCE usually has to push me to get materials and documentation for our campaigns.
  • We once ran into a slight issue with the timing for our contract renewal. I needed to pause our service because of a large deal we acquired, and I needed to save some extra funds to ensure we could prepare for it properly. I was technically too late to put the pause in time based on the dates in our contract. However, the CIENCE team worked closely with me to come up with a creative solution that was understanding of my challenging situation at the time, while also favoring our long-term partnership rather than short-sighted revenue gains.
CIENCE is well suited for any organization that is willing to invest the proper time and effort with their team to fully utilize their services and leverage the wonderful talents of their team. It is probably much less appropriate if you think that CIENCE is simply a vendor that should work independently and magically produce groundbreaking results. They will absolutely produce results and exceed expectations, but your organization has to do your part as well to ensure the success of the program.

When I first started working with CIENCE, I had many other priorities and honestly did not put enough focus on our program. Despite this, CIENCE was able to produce good results. After I realized that I had not been attentive enough and moved some other things around to prioritize our work with CIENCE, the results grew significantly.

Productive Learning leads executive-only advisory boards and CIENCE was used for their marketing abilities to find prospective candidates, connect with them via email and set up an appointment with one of my team members. We are using CIENCE specifically for our Corporate Training department and connecting to C-Level and executives across all industries.
  • Writing email copy for multi-email campaign.
  • Quantifying and tracking all processes.
  • Weekly updates and meetings and an ability to adjust quickly with new offerings we create.
  • We'd like to take our current database and find "lookalike" prospects, meaning, taking the characteristics of our current database and finding similar demographic/psychographics. They were unable to do that, but we found a way around it.
Ongoing email marketing to a large number of people is what CIENCE does best. They write the emails, find the prospects, email the prospects, and do follow-up with them. They also can create landing pages for those prospects to move to. We did not use them for other activities, but I believe they do more as well.
